The stage car effectively solves the long-standing problems of theater troupes going to the countryside, difficulty in setting up platforms, and difficulty in transferring points, enriches the content and forms of public cultural services, and plays a positive role in promoting the construction of the public cultural service system and meeting the spiritual and cultural needs of the masses.

In recent years, stage vehicles have been upgraded, stage technology has been optimized, and modern stage lighting, sound, and stage design systems have been integrated and applied, resulting in significant improvements in product technology compared to the past.

Based on this, the Special Vehicle Sub Technical Committee of the National Automobile Standardization Technical Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Special Standards Committee") has submitted a revision application for the QC/T 849-2011 "Stage Vehicle" standard.

In September 2019, according to the second batch of industry standard revision plans issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the revision plan for stage vehicles was numbered 2019-0788T-QC. The main drafting units were SAIC Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. (Hangzhou), Hanyang Special Vehicle Research Institute, etc.

Terms and definitions

1) Added the definition of stage vehicles, clarifying the main structural characteristics and uses of stage vehicles;

2) Revised the definition of the main stage (see 3.2, 2011 version 3.1) to read: "A performance platform composed of a stage platform directly connected to the stage car. According to its relative operating form, it can be divided into a fixed stage and an activity stage.";

3) The term "whole vehicle support leg" is modified to "whole vehicle support device" (see 3.5, 2011 version 3.4), and its definition is modified to: "The support mechanism installed on the stage vehicle is used to support the stage vehicle body during performance to form a stable basic stage plane device.";

4) The term "stage platform support" is modified to "stage platform support device" (see 3.6, 2011 version 3.5);

1) The requirements for stage vehicle lighting and light signaling devices, side and rear lower protection, and vehicle reflective markings in the safety requirements have been removed (see 2011 versions 4.2.2.3, 4.2.2.4, and 4.2.2.5), as these requirements have already been mentioned in GB 7258 and do not need to be repeated;

2) Clearly require the installation of safety devices to prevent the roof from falling (see 4.2.2.3, 2011 version 4.2.2.6);

3) New locking function for lifting and telescopic mechanisms (see 4.2.2.4): "Reliable locking function should be set up for lifting and telescopic mechanisms to prevent displacement, impact or deformation";

4) Delete environmental protection requirements (see 2011 version 4.2.3), therefore some requirements already have requirements in relevant national standards, and this document does not repeat the provisions;

5) The floor thickness requirement for the stage platform has been removed, and the material requirements for the edge sealing of the stage platform have been relaxed (see 4.3.3.2). This is because the variety and performance of the stage platform and edge sealing materials have been greatly improved compared to the past. The modification is as follows: "The stage platform should adopt a skeleton structure, with wooden floors laid on top and edges sealed with hardwood or other materials around.";

6) The material requirements for wooden flooring on stage platforms have been relaxed (see 4.3.3.2), as there are many types of flooring materials.
